I recently moved into the new orleans area.. well not really recently but enough to have been witness to some interesting weather.. being from Iowa I have never had to deal with hurricanes so this was an interesting season.. I however lucked out as I was out of town visiting when Gustav hit.. thankfully we have sustained no damage.

Things have been interesting, I help co-own a resturant with my brother and sister.. I have finally gotten back into taking pictures again.. and I think that things are finally looking up.

I realized how much I have been letting go in the past years of pushing things off to the side because I was either too busy or too something else to realize what I was losing. I have friends that I miss and ones that I cannot replace.

There will be more coming but for right now I just wanted to update those that know me on how things are going.. and to thank a very good friend for being there for me through some of the worst parts of the last couple of months.. I would've never made it without you pookey. You are my shining star.. thanks for being the best friend anyone could ask for.. even at 3 am.
